CHIP
.
The most recent Chip seminar ended February 28, 2007. Twentythree participants completed the course. The second HeartScreen, taken a day after the last class, showed dramatic improvements for many. Cholesterol dropped for 19 of the 23 participants. Weight loss ranged from 1 lb loss to 11 lbs lost. A significant point is that this loss of weight came while participants ate as much as they wanted to eat. No one had to go hungry to lose weight, as long as they ate food as grown, avoiding refined foods and most meats. Regular daily exercise, mostly in the form of walking, became a part of the new life style. A sampling of results will be published soon.

***************************
The CHIP (Coronary Health Improvement Project) is a program designed to teach the optimum healthy lifestyle, which will eliminate for the majority of people the worry about the major diseases affecting many Americans today, such as heart attacks, stroke, diabetes, and a reduced risk for cancer and high blood pressure. It is a '4 week-4 days a week' (Mo-Thu) program consisting of a two-and-a-quarter-hour class  each evening.

The causes of diseases, as discovered by science laboratory research, are revealed. Available solutions are discussed and demonstrated.  The program begins by everyone  getting a blood test at a commercial lab for cholesterol and fasting blood sugar levels. At the completion of the 4-week course of study  a second blood test is done at the same lab for follow up cholesterol & sugar levels. Those who faithfully participated in the program, will find that elevated levels of Cholesterol and fasting blood sugar have been significantly reduced.

A fee is charged to cover expenses. Local presenters are all volunteers and receive no re-imbursement. For more information about CHIP, go to the Chip website at www.sdachip.org .
